What’s the best area of the Cumbria and the Lake District?

In our opinion our there’s only one choice and that’s Keswick, Derwentwater and the surrounding hills and mountains. We’ve visited this part of the Lake District in Cumbria for many years, as a couple and then as a family. The first peak we walked as a family was Catbells, which we’ve walked on many occasions, but we’re pleased to say that we’ve ascended all of the hills and mountains in the surrounding area over the years. Thankfully we only live one and half hours away from the Lakes District, so it’s a destination we visit on multiple occasions throughout the year. We’ve visited all the different areas of the Lake District but this is the one we keep being pulled back to! Check out the below short video and I’m sure you’ll see why.
