The Secluded Secrets story
Secluded Secrets is family business, run by husband and wife David and Allison and their son Adam. The website specialises in marketing secluded holiday cottages, secluded cabins, shepherd huts, farm stays and a few completely "off grid" holiday cottages. Allison is the friendly voice at the end of the telephone helping secluded holiday cottage owners. David deals with business development and search engine optimization. Adam is the founder of the domain name and website. He searches for, handpicks and adds all the secluded cottages to the website.
Although Secluded Secrets is still relatively new to the market, Allison and David aren't new to marketing holiday cottages. They owned and successfully let their own holiday cottage, tucked down a cobbled lane in a Durham Dales conservation village. That's it, the cream cottage on the image above.
During their holiday cottage ownership Allison who greeted everyone to their holiday cottage, commented that guests were all saying how long it took to find a cottage for two in an area that they wanted to go on holiday. David had a light bulb moment and suggested it would be great if all holiday cottages for couples could be on one website. CottagesForCouples.com was launched not long afterward in 2007 and Allison gave up her job at a National Bank in 2009 and has since then, been helping owners successfully let their holiday cottages for couples.
Allison is supported by her trusted web designers who do all the design and coding. Jonathan her accountant who gives great financial advice and keeps everything above board. Not forgetting the help from the google specialists, who have helped fine tune all the pay per click marketing that has helped increase visitors to the website year after year.
Secluded Holiday Cottage Searches evolves into the brand "Secluded Secrets"
During reviewing the success of google advertising campaigns David realised that there were many visitors to the website who were searching for that "get away from it all" - romantic or family holiday.
Secluded Secrets was launched by Adam some months later - an Economics and Finance under-graduate, who searched for a relevant domain name to develop a brand that could be easily remembered. The goal is to capture all those Secluded Holiday properties around the UK, helping owners market their holiday properties and attracting visitors to the website to offer some of the best handpicked Secluded Holiday Cottages. Supported by David and Allison, Adam successfully runs the website and has many ideas to develop Secluded Secrets over the coming years as his programming and analytical skills are fine-tuned!
