Little Mill Cottage is a delightful Black and White detached cottage, situated on the land surrounding the owner's working farm, in the small village of Manafon near Llanfair Caereinion. Once a former mill believed to date back to the 16th century, it is set amongst beautiful rolling countryside offering splendid open views and its own little stream passing. This cottage is the perfect retreat for couples and small families wanting to escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life and take advantage of the outside space which feature a large summerhouse and hot tub.
The accommodation has been converted to a high standard and the open plan living area is retains a cosy feel. There is a modern and well-equipped kitchen, and a dining table large enough to seat all your party. The fireplace, with stone wall and exposed beam has a warming living flame electric fire and is ideal for snuggling up in front of after a day's exploring. Upstairs, there are two comfortable and tastefully furnished bedrooms, both offering lovely countryside views.
Outside, there is large heated summerhouse including furniture so whatever the weather you can enjoy the scenery whilst staying warm and dry. The wonderful hot tub has been carefully positioned in a private corner and is simply perfect for relaxing in whilst enjoying the surrounding views and savouring the countryside ambience. The town of Llanfair Caereinion is just four miles away and includes a Post Office, two supermarkets, pubs and restaurants.
Enjoy a trip on the Welshpool and Llanfair steam railway (there is a station in the village) or discover beautiful lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, the Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, or trips into beautiful Shropshire. This bustling market town of Welshpool is just ten miles away and offers a unique blend of shops, quality pubs and restaurants, as well as the town centres restored cock fighting pit and interesting Heritage Trail. Visit the 13th Century Powys Castle, and the renowned Dingle Gardens and enjoy a cruise in the summer sun along the Montgomery Canal or glorious walks and bike rides along National walking trails and the Offas Dyke Pathway. Take a trip to Gegynog Hall which is open to the public with gardens and walks as well as team rooms to enjoy.
